Republican Candidates for Township Committee

 

Mike Petty is a retired U. S. Air Force Officer and a Lumberton resident since 1999.  While on active duty with the Air Force, Mike held positions as a research navigator, test director and project manager.  He was also selected to serve as a Presidential Advance Agent, a highly selective additional duty assignment.  Mike served in this role for over six years for Presidents Clinton and Bush. 

For the past nine years, Mike has been active in the community.  He currently serves on the township’s Recreation Commission and Land Development Board.  Over the years, Mike has also been a regular f
ixture on the sidelines as a volunteer soccer coach. 

Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Manhattan College and a MBA from University of Phoenix. 

Mike currently works for Booz Allen Hamilton as an acquisition consultant. Mike and his wife of 14 years, Annemarie, live in Country Village with their two children, Katherine and Michael, who both attend the Lumberton schools. 

  

Lew Jackson is an attorney and a Lumberton resident of over 22 years.  He is currently affiliated with the Styliades, Jackson and Burghardt law firm in Marlton and serves as a court appointed mediator and arbitrator. Before venturing into the private practice, Lew served for three years as an Assistant County Prosecutor for Burlington County. 

Lew graduated from Rancocas Valley High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  He received his law degree from Rutgers University. He is a member of both the Burlington County and American Bar Associations.

 Lew is an active member of the community.  He has served two terms as President of the Mt. Holly Lions Club where he has helped raise thousands of college scholarship dollars for Rancocas Valley graduates. Lew also serves on the vestry board at St. Andrew’s Church, and he is currently the chairman of the Lumberton Ethics Board.

Lew and his wife of 26 years, Terry, live in Maple Grove with their two children, Chris, who is a student at Burlington County College, and Samantha, who is a student at Lumberton Middle School.
